POPULAR NATURIST LOCATIONS
LITTLE BEACH (rating 10/10)
RISKS
- Citations under State Park Rules. After 33 years of tolerance and understanding, the No Nudity rule is being enforced, on the whim of a bigot, on a power trip, at the highest levels of DLNR management. If police officers are sighted cover up. Once they have gone, you can resume normal attire.
- Breaking high waves can cause serious injuries to the unsavvy or those who do not constantly watch and recalculate.
- A series of high waves can create rapid changes in water depth, dangerous for non-swimmers.
- High waves can create suddenly changing rip currents taking water back out to the ocean. This is especially dangerous at the North end of the beach where the rip current drags you out to deep water where you are trapped between huge breaking waves from the ocean and sharp rocks on the land. Exhaustion and panic can result. There have been fatalities and hundreds of rescues (often thanks to Frank).
